The ten-percent is not a New Testament teaching. and it is not an Old Testament teaching!
There is never any money mentioned for tithing in the bible. Abraham only ever tithed once

Genesis14:18-20
And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Notice that Abram did not give Melchizedek a tithe of what he earned by tending his flocks and herds. Instead, he gave him a tenth of the spoils of war. The tithe to Melchizedek was a one-time only event that is not repeated
Numbers 18:26

Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: `When you take from the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it to YHWH, a tenth of the tithe.

The tithe was a specific inheritance of members of the tribe of Levi that consisted of food to be eaten in a shared meal. In the New Testament Tithing is Abolished!
By the act of tithing you are saying there is perfection by the Levitical priesthood and the New Covenant established in Christs blood is not sufficient.  How did you feel when you didn't tithe that one time? ( even though we do not have to) You felt bad didn't you? This is the curse of the law. We no longer live under the law but by grace!

Romans 6 :14
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

This does not by any means hinder a Christian from selfless giving what they wish to a Church or individual. We are encouraged to give to others, but this is completely different to the Tithe scenario. We are required to sow good seed within our actions, selfless care and behaviors towards others. This can include giving money, but not always.
For this we are rewarded by Elohim. But he does not specifically say he will grant you money.
Perhaps you will receive money from Elohim, but maybe not. He can reward you in many different ways. Each an amazing blessing!
We must remember that Elohim knows what you need, what you don't, and what you simply cannot handle
